Food and Sustainability Reporter: Top 30 market Capital Public Radio seeks a fulltime Reporter to join staff of this public radio network based in Sacramento, CA and serving the region and entire state of California via its 7-station regional network and its statewide news service, Capital Public Radio Network. Progressive and successful news shop is growing into a real news powerhouse. They’re interested in a broad thinking smart journalist who won’t find the beat narrow or limiting.

 The Food and Sustainability Reporter examines the impact of food and agriculture, reporting on food as it relates to the environment, health, culture, policy and the changing demographics of California. S/he will have an eye for anthropology as well as economics and will always keep the consumer in mind. Reporter will identify innovation and trends and connect what’s happening in this region to the rest of California and the world. Working with CapRadio’s Environment and Health Care beats, he/she will explore the nexus of food, the environment and health. Candidates must be knowledgeable in creating digital content and utilizing social media effectively. The Reporter will be factual, yet fun when appropriate in a beat that’s wide open for creative opportunity.
